Effective Date: January 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Roadmap platform and any free features made available while you are logged in (the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Roadmap Law PLLC (“Roadmap Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Platform lets you explore basic functionality for free. If you want legal services from Roadmap Law, you must subscribe through the Platform and we must accept your matter in writing as described below.
The Platform is not legal services
The Platform is a self-service software tool that may include templates, checklists, educational materials, document automation, and AI-assisted features.
The Platform does not provide legal advice. Anything you see on the Platform is general information and educational content, not advice for your specific situation.
No attorney-client relationship unless you subscribe and we accept the matter
Using the Platform, creating an account, uploading information, generating documents, or communicating through the Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship.
To become a client of Roadmap Law, you must (a) subscribe to a Roadmap Law plan through the Platform, (b) complete onboarding, and (c) receive written confirmation from Roadmap Law that we have completed conflict-of-interest and jurisdiction checks and accepted a specific matter (for example, an engagement confirmation email or the start of attorney work).
Until you receive that written confirmation, you are not a Roadmap Law client, and nothing on the Platform should be relied on as legal advice.
Subscriptions and “client status” inside the app
The Platform may allow you to subscribe to a Roadmap Law plan (such as Roadmap Personal or Roadmap Counsel) directly in the app.
Payment and subscription signup give you access to subscribed features, but they do not automatically create an attorney-client relationship.
We may approve, decline, or limit representation based on conflicts, jurisdiction, capacity, or professional responsibility rules. If we cannot accept you for a non-waivable conflict or jurisdictional reason after you subscribe, we will refund the subscription payment for that period.
Use at your own risk
You are responsible for how you use the Platform and for any decisions you make based on Platform content or outputs.
Any documents, summaries, issue-spotting, or “suggestions” generated by the Platform may be incomplete, incorrect, or not appropriate for your situation. You must review and validate anything before you rely on it or use it.
AI and automated features
The Platform may include AI-assisted features. AI can make mistakes.
Roadmap Law does not guarantee that AI outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs. You should treat AI outputs as a starting point for review, not a final answer.
Your account and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You agree not to misuse the Platform. For example, you will not:
Use the Platform to break the law or violate others’ rights.
Attempt to access or disrupt the Platform’s systems or security.
Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or use the Platform to build a competing product.
Upload malware or harmful code.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms or if your use creates risk for the Platform, other users, or us.
Information you upload
You may upload or enter information into the Platform (“User Content”).
You keep ownership of your User Content. You give Roadmap Law permission to host, store, process, and use your User Content only as needed to operate the Platform, provide features you request, and maintain and improve the Platform.
You represent you have the rights to upload or provide your User Content and that doing so does not violate confidentiality obligations you owe to others.
Privacy, confidentiality, and privilege
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. By using the Platform, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
Because the Platform is not automatically privileged, do not assume what you upload or generate is protected by attorney-client privilege unless and until we accept you as a client for a specific matter in writing.
If you share access to your workspace or include third parties, you may waive confidentiality or privilege, if any applies.
Intellectual property
Roadmap Law owns the Platform and all underlying software, features, templates, workflows, processes, and content we provide.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Platform for your internal personal or business purposes while you comply with these Terms.
Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
WE DO NOT MAKE ANY PROMISES THAT THE PLATFORM OR ANY OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR SITUATION.
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROADMAP LAW WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROADMAP LAW’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED $100.
Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates risk or harm.
Changes to the Platform or these Terms
We may update the Platform or these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, in the Platform or by email).
By continuing to use the Platform after an update takes effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by Florida law (without regard to conflict-of-law rules).
Any dispute related to the Platform or these Terms must be brought exclusively in state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
